I’m well aware this is quite the touchy subject HOWEVER. I’m allowed an opinion so ill keep writing.

I feel as though its quite a shame the generation growing up in todays society has role models who are rich and famous. Whilst it’s all good and well to have the ability to spend $150 on a pair of shoes or an outfit you may only ever wear once or twice in your life time. I feel for some the goal may never be realistic. It may never be reached. Kudos to those who make it. But to those who won’t get there, head up! you’re worth more than those Louboutin’s  your favourite celebrity is wearing.

For those who will sit at their screens reading this thinking “what a fucking jealous bitch, she probably has no money what so ever. She totally wants to be rich who doesn’t.” Well you’ve got two things right, I don’t have all the money in the world and I would LOVE to be able to go out and by three houses and a Lambo just because. But I wasn’t brought up that way, I was never given the privilege. I live by my own expectations and not those set out for me by Social media accounts.

Let me clarify something. (in my opinion) Social media portrays an unrealistic standard for majority of teenagers growing up in the current year. Instagram says: “You have to have a Rolls Royce, be identical to Kylie Jenner and wear next to nothing and take selfies to upload to your feed with a certain filter.” All for the attention of those who couldn’t give two shits what you had for breakfast or whether or not you just graduated from high school at the top of your class. They just want to acknowledge your materialistic world.

You don’t see the emotion on social media is not real to most people. They’ll post everything they wish they had, take photos of them smiling when really they’re hurting. The account is a facade of everything you wish you had but don’t a wall to put up in hopes no one breaks it down. But when you do try to be a real person and post a quote about dark thoughts etc. people call you an attention seeker or they put you down. What I’m saying seems harsh i know. But it’s only 1 persons opinion.

I think what I’m trying to say is I wish teens now a days learnt to love themselves the way God intended them to be not put up a front to make themselves look cooler. Not sit in front of your computer or iPhone/iPad screen wishing you had skinner legs, a flatter stomach or a bigger ass putting yourself down over someone who probably doesn’t even know your name. You’re just making yourself feel like absolute shit and comparing yourself to someone you’re not.

I hope I made a fuck ton of sense coz reading this now i feel like I’m rambling. All I’m trying to say is… “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind”  xx
